Our curriculum initially focused on the theory of physics and applied nuclear physics. However, since 2003, it’s been changed into the KBK (Competence Based Curriculum) design. It is based on the reorientation of the vision, mission, and educational aims of the Study Program which refers to the Minister of National Education Decision of Indonesia Republic number: 232/U/2000.

The curriculum was designed to reflect UNAS character with regard to the environmental need. Our curriculum focuses on applied physic science in the area of; world energy resource exploration (oil and gas and geothermal heat resources) and medical physics (radiotherapy method handling and health diagnostic method for the medical area).

The objectives of our curriculum is to prepare the students to become the bachelor of physics whose main competence is strong understanding in basic concept of physics and mathematics in order to make them excel in other applied study field such as Geophysics and Medical Physics.



Geophysics area is designed to prepare human resources with good understanding about basic concept of physics and mathematics for their competency in geophysics exploration for energy resources (oil, gas, and thermal) and mineral in earth. The exploration includes several methods such as acquisition, processing, and data interpretation. Data interpretation uses geophysics method such as seismology, gravity and magnetics, georesistance, and electromagnetics.

Medical Physics

Miedical Physics and Biophysics are designed to prepare human resources with good understanding of basic concept of physics and mathematics for their competency  at applying physics concept in the system of living things especially human. Those concepts include Radiology Physics, Radiotherapy, Medical Screening (X-ray, USG, CT, NMR), Nuclear Medicine (Gamma Camera, SPECT, PET) and medical instruments (work ethics, treatment, and tool quality control).

Career Prospects

The competence of the graduates is to work in governmental and non-governmental departments such as weather and natural disaster forecaster in BMKG; Instrument Engineer, Physical Control; Quality Assurance; Radiologist; Reseracher; governmental teaching staff (LIPI, BATAN, BPPT, LAPAN. etc); industrial employee (mining and energy, electronics, telecommunication and health equipment sectors), other places such as hospital, medical laboratories and university.

Campus and class

Main campus is located in Pejaten Pasar Minggu Shouteast Jakarta, consists of 4 blocks of 4 floor building. It has clean and wide open hall equipped with Wi-Fi. It is strategic and accessible.

Laboratory and Supporting Unit

    •  Laboratories: Basic Physics, Experimental Physics, Eelectronics and Instrumentation, Advanced Physics (supports the major field of Geophysics and Medical Physics), Chemistry and Computer.
    • Besides those laboratories, our study program has built good cooperation about the users of the installation of radiological facility with Safety Technology Center and Radiation Metrology of National Nuclear Power Department (BATAN), and laboratory installation of Applied Physics LIPI PUSPIPTEK.

Library and Information System Facility

    • University and study program libraries are managed by each study program. The book collection is provided appropriately according to the interest of each study program.
    • Academic information and online financial system are accessible anywhere using internet network. To access them around campus area, Wi-Fi facility is available.

Student Service Facility

    • Students are given some scholarships both from governmental and non governmental institutions from Indonesia and abroad.
    • PGRI and Betawi Study Center specifically give scholarships for Students of Physics and Mathematics Major.
    • Other facilities include two-floor campus mosque, healthcare clinic, multipurpose building, sport field (outdoor), rock climbing wall, clean canteen with Wi-Fi spots, wide and safe parking lot.

    2. Passing  the entrance test: Subjects: Indonesian, English, Mathematics, Integrated Social and Science
    3. Taking drug-free test (every applicant must take drug test in UNAS Medical Science Faculty)
    4.  Submitting 2 copies of Senior High School diploma
    5. Submitting 1 copy of legalized National Exam transcrips
    6. Submitting 2 copies of  passport-sized photo (3×4 cm)
